Dinakdakan by Lats

January 10, 2010

Dinakdakan is an Ilocano dish composed of grilled pig’s face skin almost similar to the famous sisig but this chopped smaller. This is usually served as an appetizer but it can also be good as a viand.  For my food experience, one of the tastiest Dinakdakan I tasted is in Catbalogan, Samar.  My friend who is a Samarnon was inspired by the way Ilocanos do it. He has perfected and enhanced the preparation and made his own signature of  this fabulous dish.

Where to Find

This Dinakdakan is prepared by Lats. Lats is located along San. Francisco st. , downtown Catbalogan city, Samar.  It is a new restaurant that offers good food, good drinks and good music.  This resto is very flexible to the cravings of its customer. Just request it to the chef and he will surely cook what ever you like as long as he knows. It was something new in the place and something different to other restaurant in the area. I’ll be going back to another afternoon to evening food tripping and drinking.
