Beef Kabab by Alfahkr’s
May 4, 2010There is always a mood to go Mediterranean most specially when you are craving for spicy and beefy meal. My first choice, is Beef Kababs. Where to have it is another piece of the puzzle to complete your food trip. I discovered a very hip place to eat Persian food without hurting your budget. It is at Alfahkr’s Persian Food. That trendy resto serves a very tasty Kababs straight from the grill.
Of course, Kababs cannot be complete without the yogurt and super hot sauce. Kababs is always best with grilled tomatoes.
Where to Find
The Beef Kababs of Alfahkr’s Persian Food is located along Maginhawa st., Teachers Village, Diliman Quezon City. This part of Quezon City is a watering hole for those who love to eat and enjoy good food. As a patron of arts, I appreciated their interior painted with black and white graffiti. It was done clean and very artistic.
The resto seams simple but cool and the food was really fantastic. I can’t wait to go back to try other dishes specially their Lamb Chops. Rapsa mag Alfahkr’s.
Crispy Tadjang ng Baka at Kawi’s Tavern
December 23, 2009Eating and drinking are the favorite past time of us Filipinos. I see it not as the act itself, but the moment we share with our friends, love ones and those who are special to us. Valuing our priorities leads us to a festive celebration either in large or a simple small one. This is another experience of mine with the Crispy tadjang ng Baka (beef ribs) at Kawi’s Tavern. When my friend knew that I was in Tacloban city, they arrange a simple nightout since the last time we saw each other was 3 year ago. When I grabbed the menu, this thing appealed to me. I asked for it just to try at first to test if they are comparable to the Crispy Tadjang that I tasted. It was indeed very delicious. It was so delicious that we have to order another dish to compensate our craving for it.

Beef Pares
March 27, 2009This is one beef dish similar to asado but is served with rice and soup. I’m still researching the exact origin of this and one story I hear was how Beef Pares was invented. According to the story, it came out of the need to reinvent a mami noodles because of lack of noodles. Instead, rice was made as a replacement and the soup on a separate cup. From there beef pares came as a new comfort food that was easily accepted by the Filipino Rice Loving nation. Pares Mami House did not invent Beef Pares but they made it very delicious. I use to frequent the place every time I feel like eating Beef Pares. The good thing is, they are open 24×7, 7 days a week,
