Chicken Inasal at Kiosko

January 16, 2010

Every time I go to Maasin , Southern Leyte, I always pass to this place that serves a very good chicken inasal. It is one of the food houses that serve one of the best chicken inasal that I have tasted. The way they marinated the chicken and their roasting technique resulted to a very delectable chicken barbeque. Every bite is really a total satisfaction.

For this we had it with Puso ( hanging rice) to make my food trip even great.

This is one place that you can relax and eat above a running water coming from a spring.

The way you can clean your hands is trough their batalan ( water basin).

Where to Find

Chicken Inasal of Kiosko can be found along the national highway going at Matalum, Southern Leyte.  It is the highway going to Maasin.  It is a known resto at the place because of their unique setting and very good chicken barbeque. Everytime I go to Kiosko, they never failed my appetite for good food and superior customer service.  Kudos to Kiosko!!!

Barbeque Boss

March 17, 2009

I was brought by my friend in Davao to this wonderful place along Torres st.  It was a place were night is alive.  We went to this place called Barbeque Boss. Here, you will be treated as a Boss.  All of the beers are served “ice cold”  .  And if it got too icy, they will replace your beer at no extra charge.  They have different seafood, grill pork but I am very particular with their barbeque that is very inexpensive and very delicious.  It is very inexpensive that orders made are by 20 pieces.  We ordered 40 pieces to complement our ice cold beer.  The service is fast and the ambiance is very nice. Their waitresses and waiters are very attentive to your needs and fast in delivering their service.  In fact, they had their shirt printed at the back with their phone number for the guest to give feedback easily.

Where to find

Barbeque boss in located in this complex along Torres st. , Barangay Obrero, Davao City. When you go there as early as 7:00pm, you might end up waiting for a vacant table.  This place is always full house even on Mondays.  This is what I like about Davao. They are very particular with their customer service as well as to the food.  Good food, ice cold beers, excellent service at an affordable price.  What more can you ask for?  Boss ka dito sa Barbeque Boss!!!

Penong’s Inasal and Barbeque

March 16, 2009

Before I went to Davao, I was informed to pass by Penong’s Barbeque and Seafood Grill.  It is something you should not miss. The advice to me was true. This is a restaurant that has a delicious food, fast service and unlimited rice. Yes my friends, unlimited rice.  They make sure that you will not run out of rice while eating your favorite Inasal or barbeque.  Their inasal and barbeque are very delicious.  That is the reason why people are willing to wait to be seated while people are still eating.   They even offer free soup.  Guess what about the price, it is like having a fruit drink available in the malls here in Metro Manila.  Very inexpensive and very delicious!!!  Their concept is nice; all of the waiters are skin-headed (except for waitresses) and wears a festive/batik shirt.  They serve fast, always on the look for the need of their customers and make sure everything is all set for the people who come in.

Where to Find

Penongs barbeque and seafood grill is located along Illuste st. in the heart of Davao city.  I have been eating Inasal from different location in the country and what I can say is that Penong’s has one of the best concept, best food and best service.  When you go to Davao, I hope you will find time to drop by Illuste st. to have this one of a kind delectable experience.  This is surely one food trip that I will have again when I go back to Davao.

Lean’s Barbeque

February 23, 2009

Marikina is known as the shoe capital of the Philippines.  It brought also many culinary secrets.  One of the best barbeque came from the bloodline of Kapitan Moy or Laureano Guevara who is the father of the shoe industry in Marikina.   He’s decendant is Leandro G. De Guzman ( Initial G for Guevara) or Lean for short. His barbeque is worth tasting for its flavorful marinate and distinctive taste.  I can’t help but I grabbed a beer to partner this barbeque experience.  No wonder people just come and go to have an taste of his famous barbeque.

Lean’s barbeque is easy to find because it is beside the San Roque church along V. Gomez, San Roque, Marikina City.  It is a small barbeque stand along the entrance of the Guevara compound but it is no small stall for it caters plenty of people from 4:00pm to 9:00pm.  After 9:00pm, it closed down because they have no more barbeques to sell.  The stall is between Guevara Flowershop and a pet shop.  They also accept bulk orders.  You may call him at (02)9039597 or (02)9435531.  In Rapsa we give high regard to humble stores or establishments that deliver the best culinary experience.  When you visit Marikina, don’t forget to drop by Lean’s barbeque Kahit tanghali tapat, rapsa sa beer!!!J

When you drive along AS Fortuna at Mandaue City, You will be amaze that there is this barbeque house that is full of people. Sometimes, you have to wait for your turn at the parking and at the grill point to taste their famous Chichen Inasal.  It is the Inasal and barbeque of Matias Barbeque.  The place is always full house during lunch and dinner. There reason, their chicken inasal and barbeque is very delicious. If you are going to observe their restaurant closely, you will notice that it is the frontage of their house.  The barbeque and Inasal are the reason why the frontage was converted into a dinning place.

Where to find

When in Mandaue city, Cebu, don’t miss this opportunity to drop by Matias Barbeque.  The signage is very small, but you will notice that it is full of people.  The location is along AS Fortuna near H. Barbaque at Larsians

February 16, 2009

The Queen city of the South has been known for her delicious barbeques which are available everywhere in the city.  I remember way back then (2004), that there was this longest barbeque grill from the tip of Fuente Osmena up to Colon. It was one hell of a party!!! There were bands, cool people and of course, barbeques.

One of the oldest barbeque place at Cebu is located along the Fuente Circle is Teritoryo San Miguel and is know as “Larsians”.  They have transferred just near the old location an they have improved the place and sanitation to attract more customers and Cebu visitors.  When you are there, I recommend Rex’s Barbeque. They are very friendly and their barbeque does taste great.  Best with puso’ ( hanging rice) and with my favorite beer.

Where to find

Larsians is located along M. Cui st, barangay Sambag II, Cebu city.  There is also another place along A.S. Fortuna at Mandaue City.  Cool place, plenty of barbeques to chose from.  Now, some stalls serves sisig and bulalo.  It is also a good place to stay with your friends and drink you favorite cervezas.  Daghan salamat sa crew ng Rex’s para sa mayo na serbisyo at lami na rapsa foods.

Where to find

The location of Glan Barbeque is located at Roxas East Avenue infront of Philippine Postal Office in the heart of Gensan.  Before, they are situated at the location of the newly built JMP Building ( Jinky and Manny Pacquiao Building).

The barbeque taste very soft and tender, and grilled perfectly.  This place is full of people varying form students, office workers, barkadas and the like.  The very good thing about this is you can enjoy your barbeque with a few bottles of ice cold beer.  Salute to Glan Barbeque!!!!  Barato na , Rapsa pa!!

Barbeque - Grill Boy

December 28, 2008

We will always have a craving for barbeque which is available everywhere.  Grill Boy is just one of the barbeque house that I truly  appreciate.  They have a variety of grill to offer like pork barbeque, liempo, stuffed bagus ( milk fish), hito (cat fish).  I like it there because they have maintained a good quality of meat that they serve. Up to this days, when I go to Grill Boy almost every week, I still have the tender meat of liempo and pork barbeque just the same as what I got from last week.  There are many barbeque houses but this one I recommend not only to satisfy you grill craving but they are consistent to what they serve. Pag masarap ngayon, sigurado ko masarap padin sa susunod mo na pagbili!!!

Where to fine

Grill Boy is located along Ortigas Ave. Extension, Taytay. for the landmark, it is very near Tropical Hut Taytay and is beside Dunkin Donut.
