Halo Halo Congee

July 19, 2009

When I feel like eating congee, this is one of the few that is always in my repeat order and that is Halo Halo Congee.  Halo Halo in Filipino means mixed.  For this dish, it is a rice porridge with, liver, eggs, pork strips, crackers, dumplings and leeks.  The mixture those is enough to call it a halo halo congee.  What made this special is their way of preparing it. The texture is smooth, creamy, and tasty.  The smoothness is the technique they use to mix the rice and the right amount of temperature that will yield this texture.  The creaminess and tastiness can be derived form the combination of variety of rice and garnish that makes it so special.  And this Halo Halo congee is from Luk Yen.

Where to Find

Luk Yen is located at the ground floor of Building B, Mega Mall, Manadaluyong City.  They also have a branch in Greenhills San Juan. One thing I like about Luk Yen is because they are clean. They serve neatly and the taste of their food is heavenly.  The also serve and act fast to the request of their customers. Not to mention that their Halo Halo Congee is my Favorite. J
