Carlitos Nilagang Baka

March 11, 2009

When they say there is a restaurant that is being frequented by taxi drivers, the food must taste good.  The reason is that, these city dwellers know where to have the best of the best when it comes to gastronomic experience.  Carlitos Nilaga house serves this soup dish that is very delicious.  We were able to discover this way back 1999 in Matina, Davao.  We were wondering that why there were plenty of parked taxis at the place.  When we tried their Nilagang Baka, the taste went beyond our expectation. Both taste and price did satisfied us.  They cooked their Nilagang Baka slow through firewood.  You can even ask for extra soup with no extra charge.

Where to find

Carlito’s has no signage.  The location is along Mc Arthur Highway around 100 meters from GSIS Village main gate, Matina Davao City.  It is very near Metrobank Matina Branch.  As what I mentioned, it is easy to find because there are plenty of taxis parked in front of their restaurant.  They are open 24 hrs a day.  This is a must try and best if you feel sluggish and you need to wake up your veins. A real power food!!!
